Comments:
Newtecnic worked with Llewellyn Davies Yeang architects to develop facade solutions for a proposed extension to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London

The extension uses a double façade where expelled air from the building is passed between the outer walls to reduce the need for mechanical ventilation. The outer glass expresses the direction of air movement in the thermal flue behind. Our brief was to create a folded glass wall design including construction details.

A wireframe model was provided and through the use of parametric modelling software we were able to produce a building model which allowed us to change all aspects of the design easily to meet the demands of the client, designers, planners and others involved.
