Newtecnic were responsible for generating façade studies for architects RMJM. Having worked on the project at the competition stage, Newtecnic developed a range of approaches to the façade which reflect the current range of thought in state of the art tall buildings.
An aim in the design development is to ensure that the complex geometry is achieved with economic façade systems that can be fabricated and assembled with relative ease.
A significant factor in the design of the glazing system for the tower is to allow structural movements (from both dynamic and static loads) to be accommodated with ease, and building these movements into the design of joints and node points.
Our use of parametric software allows the design to evolve and be refined from a single computer model..
