After investigating shading solutions as part of a competition entry for a new office tower in the Middle East, Newtecnic proposed a shading screen with moveable louvres designed to adapt to both the movement of the sun throughout the day, and to the performance demands of the internal program.

GRC Permanent Formwork

The complex geomentry of the Stone Towers project in Cairo required an innovative cladding approach to meet the architects demands for the facade. Newtecnic proposed a permanent formwork solution where GRC cladding panels were used as formwork for the in-situ concrete structure. This removed the need for traditional formwork saving both time and money in the construction process.
